Eric Schulzhas an exceptional international career in the aviation industry. Eric Schulz is founder of SHZ Consulting.
Career
Before he created SHZ Consulting in early 2019, his own consulting business specialised in Commercial & Defense Aerospace and Airlines, Eric Schulz was the Chief Commercial Officer at Airbus and was part of the Airbus Group Executive Committee. In this role, Eric oversaw all sales, marketing and product strategy, contracts, and other commercial matters.
Prior to that, Eric was at Rolls-Royce where he started as Chief Operating Officer Civil Aerospace before being promoted to President of Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace, with overall responsibility for the entire Commercial Aerospace business which included business jets, regional, small and large commercial aircraft engines. In this role, Eric was a regular invitee to the Rolls-Royce PLC Board of Directors, and he was heading all Rolls-Royce OEM/Manufacturing RRSP’s Strategic Partnerships and MRO Joint Ventures with Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific and American Airlines.
Previously, Eric had also spent time in the United States where he was the President of Goodrich Aviation Technical Services (also known as TRAMCO) one of the leading US airframe MRO and aircraft modification centre and Goodrich Actuation Systems, the flight control World leader.
Earlier in his career, Eric had strong airline operational experiences with UTA French Airlines/ Air France, AOM French Airlines and Air Liberté-British Airways.
Amongst all these executive roles, Eric has also been the European Union Industry Chairman during the EU-Japan trade negotiations and has been a strong partner to the Singapore Economic Development Board.
Today, Eric is Consultant with his own company SHZ Consulting. In this role, Eric provides support at sharing his views and strong knowledge of the Aerospace & Defense industry with Private Equities on specific projects, with financial institutions and with leading consultancy agencies around the World. He is engaged on discussions and views to privately own funds or during M&A activities. Based on his deep operating and strategic airlines background, Eric also supports many different Airlines, MRO’s and OEM’s organizations in areas such as strategic reflections, fleet or network restructuring and operational transformations and optimizations.
Lastly, Eric is a regular expert speaker on the French National Broadband Europe 1, the French TV network channel TF1and at the Airlines Partner Group Forum (APG World).
