Anne Keast-butler

Anne Keast-Butleris the deputy director of MI5, Britain's domestic security and intelligence agency.

She will become Director of GCHQ in May 2023, succeeding Jeremy Fleming to become the first woman to hold the post.

Keast-Butler grew up in Cambridge and earned a degree in mathematics from Merton College, Oxford.

She is married, with three children.
