Ian Foster

Ian Douglas Fosteris a New Zealand professional rugby union coach and former player who has been coaching the New Zealand national team since 2019.

He has coached New Zealand to the final of the Rugby World Cup 2023, where they are due to play South Africa.

He played as a fly-half for a number of New Zealand clubs, namely Waikato and the Chiefs. Foster started his coaching career with Waikato. He also contributed to New Zealand's victory in the 2015 Rugby World Cup as an assistant.
