Courtenay Valenti

Courtenay Valentiis President, Production and Development for Warner Bros. Pictures. In her current position, she oversees and manages the division's live-action and animated development teams and budget, and also works closely with Toby Emmerich, Chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, on overall slate development.

A 30-year Studio veteran, Valenti rose through the creative development ranks, most recently serving as Co-President, Production, Warner Bros. Pictures. She has been a key creative force behind the Studio's resurgence in feature animation where she shepherded such titles as "The LEGO Movie" and "The LEGO Batman Movie." During her tenure at the Studio, she has also developed and supervised a wide variety films such as: the Academy Award-winning "Happy Feet," the last four films in the "Harry Potter" series, "The Great Gatsby" from director Baz Luhrmann, Academy Award-winning "Mad Max Fury Road" from writer/director George Miller, "The Intern" from writer/director Nancy Myers, and J.K. Rowling's "Fantastic Beasts" film series.

Earlier in her career she developed and supervised films such as Nora Ephron's "You've Got Mail," Alfonso Cuaron's "A Little Princess," Brad Bird's "The Iron Giant," Cameron Crowe's "Singles," Robert Zemeckis' "Contact" and Gregory Nava's "Selena," among others.

Valenti was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Washington, D.C. She graduated cum laude from Tufts University with a double major in English and Economics. After graduation, she worked at the New York City investment banking firm Lehman Brothers in mortgage finance, first as a mortgage finance analyst and later as mortgage securities trader.

Valenti lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their two children. She sits on the board of trustees of the LBJ Presidential Library and Foundation.
